Romance is in the air

Valentine's Day, a holiday celebrating love and lovers.  Roses are red, violets are blue, why not send your sweetheart a keepsake heart just from you.

 

 

Cindy Lou Who

I discovered this fun fabric print at my favorite quilt store. Perfect for a co-worker whose family teasers her when she wears her hair up like Cindy Lou Who. I couldn't resist, I just had to make a keepsake heart for her for our office Secret Santa. I filled the heart with balsam fir. A perfect scent for the holiday.

Mosaic

I brought together two of my favorite fabrics, batik and unbleached cotton. With remnants left over from two separate projects I randomly started sewing strips together. I ended up with this fun mosaic pattern.
